Alpha Disposals - Charity Support

Alpha Disposals is committed to providing computer equipment to charity organisations, recently dealing with Computer Aid International, as well as through a long standing partnership with the IT for Charities initiative.

Computer Aid International

Computer Aid International has already shipped over 50,000 PCs to more than 90 developing countries. Of those 50,000 shipped over 35,000 have gone to educational institutions and the remaining to community organisations working in fields as diverse as HIV/Aids, environment, human rights, and primary healthcare.

Computer Aid International aims to:

• Increase the number of refurbished computers being re-used overseas
• Increase the number of UK organisations donating their used IT equipment for re-use overseas
• Identify and work with those organisations in recipient countries able to derive maximum value from refurbished computers
• Provide training and work experience in computer repair to people from socially excluded communities in our workshops in the UK

IT for Charities

The IT for Charities Initiative was setup to provide a resource and guide for Charities to locate IT equipment at special discounted rates.

Working with the initiative has allowed Alpha Disposals to get the equipment to the organisations that need it the most.
